Code of Conduct

Kewpie Tattoo Studio makes a promise to both it's artists and clients to conduct our business in a way that is ethical and respectful. We agree to follow this code of conduct up to and beyond the following points listed and we may add on to this list if situations arise. Failure to comply with this list will result in immediate dismissal and cancellation of any artist lease, and void any deposits made on said lease.

  • 1. We will treat all clients and co-workers without bias or discrimination (including gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, or social or ethnic origin
  • 2. Every person will be treated with respect. Physical, sexual, psychological, verbal harassment, abuse and manipulation tactics will NOT be tolerated.
  • 3. We will respect every individual's dignity, privacy and personal rights
  • 4. We will work to provide a safe and healthy working environment for both our artists and clients, following all legal requirements above and beyond reproach. We will practice consistent cleanliness and respect for the property. We will take the best possible preventative measures to minimise risks and avoid or prevent accidents and occupational diseases.
  • 5. Employees and clients reserve the right to dress how they feel unless it conflicts with health and safety (for instance: artists may not wear open toed shoes and hair must be tied up and kept out of the way of the work area)
  • 6. We will keep any defamatory opinions out of the studio and out of Social Media. We will not engage in slander or any type of online "warfare" between ourselves, clients, other studios and more. We aim to conduct ourselves in a professional manner at all times and we want our online presence to reflect that.
  • 7. Artists will always respect personal work spaces and supplies, only borrowing with permission and always replacing any items in kind if borrowed. Agreed upon supplies will be kept stocked and readily available. All artists should remain prepared for any and all upcoming appointments. Theft will not be tolerated.
  • 8. We will always work to keep this a safe place for our artists and clients. Will will strive to keep personal drama out of the studio and from interfering with our own work and environment, and with our coworkers. If problems arise, we will strive to resolve them honestly, amicably, professionally and with mutual respect.
  • 9. We promise to always work towards building each other up, not competing with, or tearing each other down. A success for one is a success for all. We will work together to see the studio and its artists go from strength to strength and to grow the business at every opportunity ensuring continued success and availability for our valued clients.
  • 10. We promise to work together to make Kewpie Tattoo Studio feel like a home away from home for everyone who comes to visit, to make everyone feel like they are now a part of the family.
  • 11. If any crimes are found to be committed in the studio, we will quickly work with the authorities to resolve the situation. Please speak with Jori if you have any concerns.
